INFORMATION MANAGEMENT in individual, team, organizational and social dimensions. It covers the management of information resources and information processes - from information seeking and retrieval, through information evaluating, organizing, processing and protecting, to information sharing, transferring, distributing and using. It includes also diagnostics of information products, services and systems, as well as the issues of information logistics, retrieval languages, metadata and data management.

INFORMATION BEHAVIOUR and its various conditions including selected aspects of information culture, information ecology or information competences, as well as the issues of the use of information and communication technologies from the perspective of their users.

SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION including the functioning of academic repositories and various aspects of digital and printed academic information resources.

THEORY AND METHODOLOGY OF INFORMATION RESEARCH with an emphasis on qualitative methods.

LIBRARIANSHIP, BOOKS AND PUBLISHING including on the one hand the use of new technologies in libraries (e.g. augmented reality, haptic technology, wearable computing, digital libraries) and on the other hand - various issues of publication genres and selected historical issues of publishing and book collections.
